This LEVEL-2 practice is focused on deepening your practice on the headstander, by bringing awareness in certain spots in the thoracic spine with the use of the backbender. Important note: this class is for experienced CAY practitioners only.
Twisting exercises are invaluable for the spine and its mobility and agility. In this beginner’s class, we look at the concept of lengthening the spine before we start twisting.
In this beginner’s class, we are going to work on the legs! The ability of the legs to be strong and supportive in all of our daily movements depends on the mobility of the pelvis and lower back. Due to our sedentary life and habitual movement patterns, we often carry stiffness in muscles around the pelvis and lower back, which leads to immobility of the spine.
This beginner’s class will focus on the shoulder girdle, which has a direct link with the mobility of the area around the C7 vertebra (lowest part of your neck).
